TODD LUKENS

MY JOURNEY AS A

BUSINESS GROWTH SPECIALIST

A veteran of the orthopedic medical device industry, Lukens brings a history of results-oriented and servant leadership methods to your business. His 31-year career has honed his expertise in business development strategy, key account management, marketing, contract negotiation, solutions selling, cultural leadership, problem-solving, and organizational dynamics.

 

Most recently, while serving as General Manager of Zimmer Biomet’s Greater Philadelphia office in the orthopedic industry, he spearheaded a $95 million business development effort, led a 65-member sales team, and oversaw a 40-member operations crew that managed $300 million in inventory.  

 

Lukens brings an extensive amount of first-hand experience across the full range of market segments including adult reconstructive, upper extremity, trauma, sports medicine, biologics, computer-assisted surgery, and ancillary surgical products including power tools, tourniquets, bone cement, personal protective apparel, wound debridement, skin grafting, fluid waste management and blood management equipment. As a student of his craft, Todd has observed more than 10,000 surgical cases, speaking to large audiences at National Sales Meetings, and attended hundreds of training events including corporate medical education, external conferences (AAOS, AAHKS, ICJR), and cadaver labs.  

 

Extensive medical device expertise coupled with several years in the banking industry, Lukens has served on multiple implant concept, instrument design, and product launch committees leading to many top-performing recognitions including being honored as number # 1 in the country earlier in his career.  A participant by nomination in Zimmer’s Accelerated Leadership Development program, Lukens holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Delaware.

In addition to having served as an officer in the Army Reserves, Lukens has been involved in his community as a Sunday School teacher and sitting on the Board of Directors at Face-to-Face Germantown, a mission organization serving the homeless and working poor in Philadelphia.
